Elder Tony W. McDaniel

Elder Tony W. McDaniel is a dedicated spiritual leader, veteran, and public servant whose life is deeply rooted in his hometown of Petersburg, Virginia. Born and raised in the “Cockade City,” Tony was shaped by the values of resilience and hard work instilled in him by his single mother, Mary J. McDaniel.

A proud product of the local community, he graduated from high school in 1987. Shortly after, he answered the call to serve his country, embarking on a distinguished ten-year career in the United States Navy, with over-seas tours of Rota, Spain, Souda Bay Greece, Thailand, Guam, Singapore and state-side tours of California, Texas and Virginia.

His time in the military refined his leadership skills and fostered a global perspective that he eventually brought back to his roots. In 1998, Tony entered a new chapter of life when he married Pamela R. Ross. They have been married for 28 years. Together, they are the proud parents of one daughter, India R. McDaniel.

Tony’s commitment to his faith and community is the cornerstone of his current work. In October 2002, Tony, Pamela and India became charter members of Higher Learning Ministries, where he serves as the Assistant Pastor. He serves and provides spiritual guidance and mentorship. He is a Licensed and Ordained Elder with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. and has served in pastoral ministry for over 20 years.

Beyond the pulpit, he remains active in local governance, contributing to the future of his city as a member of the City of Petersburg Planning Commission. Through both ministry and civic service, Elder McDaniel continues to be a driving force for progress and stability in the city that raised him.
